The Pocket Square. The manly accessory that has recently reemerged from the fashion purist to the mainstream. Men wear them with business suits. Men wear them with blazers and a dress shirt without a tie. Some men even wear them with a blazer and a t-shirt underneath. It’s one of those pieces of clothing that just does something to an outfit. It’s like an exclamation point at the end of a great sentence.
But how are you REALLY suppose to wear a pocket square? We’re going to highlight the most popular ways to accessorize your pocket.

For a more traditional look try to match your pocket square with the color combo of your tie (but not the exact same pattern or fabric) or with the color of your dress shirt. This is not written in stone but generally practiced. You can also add a bold color like a red pocket square to a navy blue suit and a white dress shirt without a tie to have a more stylish business look. Typically the more exclusive pocket squares are silk but cotton is widely used depending on the look you are going for. For example, Presidential looks work better with a cotton pocket square because a silk pocket square will fall into your pocket becoming hidden due to the fabric.
