It’s not often we find men who are willing to take risks in fashion. Guys are really straight forward with their ensemble, so when I find a guy who is willing to take a risk and show a more creative and artsy side, I have to give them credit.
My friend Steven is definitely a risk taker when it comes to his wardrobe. Maybe it’s because he is engaged to one of the most fashionable women I know, but he is always willing to try new styles and colors that aren’t too matchy and one dimensional.
With his iPad in hand, Steven is ready to get some work done. As you can see, the secret here is layering! Layering different textures and colors that blend and pop is a good way to take risks and bring something abstract to your outfit. The blue button down shirt from Zara almost has a bandanna feel to its design and allows the orange J.Crew tie to pop. Because that combination makes a bold statement, its nice that he kept his cardigan neutral.
Some hidden gems in his outfit were these electric yellow striped socks from Urban Outfitters, a Movado watch and his black loafers, also from Zara.
When all is said and done, Steven wore this outfit with confidence. That is the most important layer!
Happy layering!
Ciao!
